Crosses

A cross seemed a relevant subject, since the dominant religion of Mexico is Catholicism.  And it seemed to lend itself well to integrating with my personal art style.  My original design was quite complex. I made a version in poplar, and a version in walnut.  They each took 10+ hours to carve.
I decided to make a simplified version as well, which I carve in sandy-rose wood, and which takes a little over an hour to carve.
